The Logo

The logo was designed by myself with the help and the vision of Nick Thorley, owner of Thorley Graphics located here in Charlotte, NC. I wanted to incorporate something of remembrance to my late cousin, Kimberly Thompson-Beatty in not only the naming of the business but in logo as well. Kim passed away after her long bout with MS which consumed most of her life after being diagnosed in her late teens. She passed away at the age of 44, and I’ve made it my personal mission to spend the rest of life helping to bring an awareness to such a debilitating disease. The name Center Stage comes from her passion of dancing and ballet which she loved when she was a kid and I was able to incorporate the delta symbol of her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta and use it in place of the “A” in Stage. The sororities color are crimson and cream but I chose to make the color of the symbol orange, which is the color recognized and identified with National Multiple Sclerosis Society. No matter what color combinations or variations I use for the logo itself, the symbol itself will always remains orange in all marketing material and branding.
